Syllabi:
Teaching and Research Interests: Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is centered on empowering students through applied learning, critical thinking, and practical engagement with real-world information technology concepts. I believe that students learn best when instruction connects theory with practice, allowing them to develop not only technical proficiency but also communication, teamwork, and professional decision-making skills. I create an inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to explore, question, and take ownership of their learning journey. By incorporating hands-on exercises, case studies, and interactive discussion, I aim to prepare students for both immediate career opportunities and long-term academic growth.
Research Statement
My research interests lie in the areas of information systems, cybersecurity policy, defense logistics, and the application of emerging technologies in global security environments. Having overseen large-scale Foreign Military Sales portfolios and sustainment programs, I focus on the intersection of technology, risk management, and international defense cooperation. I am particularly interested in how data analytics and automation can improve readiness, reduce life-cycle costs, and enhance decision-making for both military and academic organizations. Future research aims to explore predictive analytics models, technology obsolescence mitigation, and the integration of AI-driven tools into logistics and IT education.
