| Biography: | Heather Ness-Maddox is an assistant professor of psychology (Educational Psychology Ph.D., Georgia State University, 2022). Her area of research includes comprehension of narrative media, including graphic narratives (comic books, graphic novels) and video games. She is particularly interested in the understanding of emotion within narratives. Dr. Ness-Maddox also serves as the Director of the MGA Honors Program. Across her courses and mentorship, Dr. Ness-Maddox emphasizes critical thinking, effective learning strategies, and understanding psychology as a scientific discipline. |
