| Biography: | Ms. Stegner has served as a nurse for over 39 years. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Nursing Education from Jacksonville University. She previously received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the College of New Rochelle in 1994 and her ASN from Westchester Community College in 1988. She also attended Westchester Community College to earn her LPN diploma in 1986, marking the beginning of her nursing career. Over the course of her career, she has had the opportunity to practice across a wide range of specialties, including Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant, PACU, Ambulatory Surgery, Trauma ICU, Emergency Department, Travel Nursing, District School Nursing, Nursing Supervisor, and as a Nurse Educator. She previously served as a Practical Nursing Instructor at Central Georgia Technical College from 2014 to 2018 and as the Program Department Chair from 2021-2025. She holds a deep passion for learning and an equally strong desire to share knowledge with others, and she believes that caring for patients is an honor and teaching future nurses is a true blessing. She has been fortunate to learn from exceptional teachers and mentors throughout her career, and their influence has shaped the nurse and educator that she is today. Her purpose in nursing education is to pass forward the knowledge, skills, and values that were instilled in her—to support the health of our communities and to inspire the next generation of nurses. She strives to make a lasting impact on her students, help them achieve their goals, and guide them as they grow into compassionate, competent healthcare professionals. |
