Biography: Mr. Swenson was born and mostly raised in South Dakota. He enjoyed growing up in the Midwest so much that he moved to Georgia 3 days after graduating High School. After working in a cotton mill for a year, he decided it was time to go to college and learn how to work with his mind, not his back.

Mr. Swenson attended Jacksonville State University in Alabama, (Go Gamecocks, Whup Troy), from 1991-2000. He earned his BS in Biology in '96 and MS in '00. Two years of adjuncting later, Mr. Swenson was hired by Floyd College in Rome, GA and worked there for three years. Middle Georgia College picked up his contract late in '05 and he moved his growing family to Cochran.

Mr. Swenson currently lives in Bleckley County with his lovely wife, Amanda, his game-addicted children, some chickens, and a fish named Kevin (edit: RIP Kevin Oct 2015 - Oct 2021).
