MISSION AND PROGRAM

The mission of the Department of Psychology and Criminal Justice is to provide quality instruction in the fields of psychology, sociology and criminal justice at both introductory and advanced levels. The Department of Psychology and Criminal Justice includes programs that are designed to produce scientifically analytic, critical thinkers prepared to succeed in meeting the challenges of modern life. We emphasize career preparation in the behavioral sciences through lifelong learning.  An Associate degree is offered in the field of Criminal Justice.  Baccalaureate degrees are offered in Psychology, and Criminal Justice. A Doctorate of Science in Public Safety is also offered.  Minors are available in Sociology, Criminal Justice, Psychology and Applied Behavioral Analysis.  In addition, a certificate program in Applied Behavioral Analysis is available. All programs are designed to produce scientifically literate, critical thinkers prepared to succeed in meeting the challenges of modern life.
